When an editor asks me what I write about, I tell them that I'll write about anything. Really. But my main focus is the health and fitness realm, which has many (well-toned) arms to it. I've narrowed down the different areas that I mainly write about, with three examples from each below.
FITNESS
First is what I like to call my "tone your butt" articles-you know the ones, that exclaim on the cover that it has the Top 10 Moves for Fab Abs. These articles are cool to write for a couple reasons: I get to play Fun With Alliteration (chisel your cheeks! Get great glutes!). Writing fitness articles also means I get to contribute to a lot of different magazines, since, like, anyone who's anyone has a fitness page, don't you know. Plus, after 10 years of doing this type of writing, I've established some relationships with top trainers who teach me a thing every time I talk to them, so I get free fitness help as a bonus.
